Adult Exploration
Adult Exploration Programs of the UU Congregation of Venice provide a learning environment through courses that value religious freedom, encourages open dialogue on questions of faith, and offers encouragement, assistance, guidance, and support to each individual in his/her search for a personal philosophy/theology to live by. All interested persons are welcome.
Summer Activities
All activities will meet in the UUCOV parking lot for car pooling. Asterisked (*) events are those being sponsored by both Youth Religious Education and Adult Exploration. *Saturday, June 12. Oscar Scherer Outing. Meet at 4:30 p.m. Swim, have a potluck dinner in the small Pavilion and a nature walk. Sign up by June 8.
Monday, June 21. Ringling Art Museum. Meet at 12:30 p.m. Special Exhibits are Circus Pictures and Treasures from Turkomen. Dinner at Sweet Tomatoes optional. Sign up by June 18.
*Sunday, July 4. Fireworks Boat Trip on the Gulf. Meet at 6:30 p.m. View Gulf Coast Fireworks from the Gulf of Mexico. Maximum 25 people. $30 for adults, $12 for children. Sign up and pay at church by June 20.
Monday, July 12. Edison/Ford Winter Estates. Meet at 8:30 a.m. Visit the house, gardens and labs on a private tour. Groups of 20, $18 a person. Sign up by June 10.
*Thursday, August 12. Perseids Meteor Shower. Meet at 10 p.m. Telescopes welcome. Resident astronomers will share their knowledge and assist with viewing. Sign up by August 8.
Wednesday, August 18. Tampa History Center. Meet at 10:30 a.m. Optional Flamenco Show and dinner at the Columbia Restaurant, Ybor City. Sign up by August 8.
