Welcome to the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Venice (UUCOV)! We're delighted that you are visiting our website and hope that you may visit us in person in the near future.
UUCOV, a vibrant congregation that began in 1998 with just 30 members, has expanded to a membership exceeding 160 and grown in diversity. We are a Welcoming Congregation, openly receptive to persons with differing sexual orientation or gender identity. The influx of young families has spurred the development of a successful religious education program for children and youth. We continue to offer many opportunities for adults to expand their spiritual growth and personal relationships through worship services, adult exploration classes, social justice projects and social activities.
UUCOV recently hired the Rev. Don Beaudreault as our Consulting Minister. Since his arrival in September as Interim Minister, our congregation has enjoyed record membership growth. Attendance at Sunday services this winter has exceeded 200. Rev. Beaudreault is well known for the quality of his sermons, his effective community outreach, and his talent as a jazz pianist. He served as Minister of the Unitarian Universalist Congregation in Sarasota for over six years from 1999 to 2006.
We invite you to join us for worship on Sunday mornings at 10:30. You will have the opportunity to hear and meet Rev. Beaudreault, meet our members at social hour after the service, ask questions, and find out how you can learn more about Unitarian Universalism, our congregation, and its mission.
The Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Venice is open to all who search for truth in the spirit of love and kinship, regardless of race, creed, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin or physical challenge. Come visit us soon. We will welcome you and help you feel at home.
